Junior Schedule
As part of the MGA Links junior golf education program, the staff at MGA Links has put together a diverse schedule of clinics and tournament play for its junior players. Included in this list of events are clinics, tournaments and golf leagues. Here is an updated schedule of events for the 2008 season.

2008 Traveling Clinic Schedule
The MGA Links will hit the road this summer in order to conduct junior golf clinics at two MGA Member Clubs. Click on the links below to download a registration form:
Saturday Morning Clinics
The Saturday Morning Clinics will be held April through September. This season will feature a limited but more structured program for all players. Clinics for both boys and girls will be held from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m., while the girls-only clinic will take place from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

Monday Night Junior League
The Monday Night Junior League is a fun way to get to know other MGA Links members and work on your game. The 9- hole event, which features a new format each week, will be held on both the front and back 9 in 2008. In order to compete in the Monday Night Junior League, players must sign up by 12:00 p.m. on the day of the event. Interested players can call the MGA Links Pro Shop and sign up anytime before noon on those Mondays. The Monday Night Junior League will consist of a 4:30 p.m. shotgun start and a $3 entry fee.

Junior Tournament Schedule
A total of six major Junior Tournament events, as well as some added special events, will be held at MGA Links. Please note that as part of the membership fee, all junior members will receive an official tournament packet which will include entry forms for all six Major events.
I) Parent-Child Tournaments
The three Parent-Child Tournaments offered in 2008 will
be 18-hole events featuring shotgun starts and a post-round
meal. The entry fee for each Parent-Child Tournament is
$30 for each two-person team.
Saturday, May 10– 1:00 p.m. start
Format: One best ball of 2
Saturday, June 21 – 1:00 p.m. start
Format: Select drive alternate shot.
Saturday, September 20 – 1:00 p.m. start
Format: Scramble & Best Ball
Please note these events are limited to the first 80 players!
II) Member-Member Tournaments
Two Member-Member Tournaments will be conducted in
2008. Members must sign up as a two-person team. The
entry fee is $10 per player.
Saturday, June 7 – 11:00 a.m. start
Format: 1 Best Ball of 2
Sunday, June 8 – 9:00 a.m. start
Format: 2-man Scramble
September 13 & 14 – 11:00 a.m. start
Format: 6-6-6 (Best Ball, Scramble, Alternate Shot)
III) Club Championship
The Annual MGA Links Junior Club Championship will
be held on July 31 – August 2. There will be two divisions:
stroke play and match play. Players will be able to compete
in one or the other divisions, but not both.
Thursday, July 31
Qualifying rounds for both divisions – 3:00 p.m.
Friday, August 1
1st Round of Match Play – 8:00 a.m.
2nd Round of Match Play – 12:00 p.m.
1st Round of Stroke Play – 12:00 p.m.
Saturday, August 2
Match Play Semifinals – 8:00 a.m.
Match Play Finals – 12:30 p.m.
Final Round of Stroke Play – 8:00 a.m.
* The 10 & Under division will play a 9-hole championship beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Massachusetts Junior Championship
Junior players interested in playing in the state-wide Massachusetts Junior Championship, hosted annually by the Massachusetts Golf Association for players age 17 and under, should visit the MGA's official web site at www.MGAlinks.org.
