The golf season is now in full swing here at MGA Links and the weather has been on our side most of the season. The golf course is in great condition and all of our junior programs are seeing a lot of new faces. We are delighted to see so many of you out here this season.
We have three Saturday Morning clinics remaining on the schedule this season - July 26, August 9 and September 6. This is a change from the original September 13 date.
The Junior Club Championship will be held July 31–August 2. Please sign up in the Pro Shop no later than Monday, July 28. There will be age divisions and different formats for the event. There is a Match Play Championship for the top 16 qualifiers and a Stroke Play division for those who do not qualify for Match Play.
The Club Championship qualifier will be held on Thursday, July 31 starting at 3:00 p.m. You must be able to play all three days in order to sign up for the tournament.
A 9 hole championship for 10 year olds and under will be played on Saturday August 2 at 10:00 a.m.
Save the Date
On Saturday, August 9, one of our members, Max Cantin, will be hosting his Second Annual Parent Child Tournament to benefit The American Diabetes Association. Max did a great job last year in hosting his first event and is looking forward to another great event this season, with the support of his fellow members like you. The event is a four person scramble and tee times will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday August 9.
The entry fee for the tournament is $35.00 per parent/child team or $70.00 for a foursome. If you are interested in supporting Max’s efforts please email him at golf4diabetes@gmail.com. The sign up deadline for this event is August .
Lastly, we have an outing scheduled for Saturday, July 19 at 12:00 noon this is a shotgun start so the course will be closed until the tournament has finished play. We estimate that the course will open up sometime between 4:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Please call to check course availability.
