Headline: Andy Bean Dazzles MGA Links Junior Members at Nashawtuc CC

Norton, MA – Thanks to the support of the Bank of America Championship, the Champions Tour and the staff at MGA Links at Mamantapett, local athletes competed in the 2006 MGA/MIAA High School Invitational. This special event, which is a variation of the Junior Pro-Am event held in previous years, was held during tournament week at the 25th anniversary Bank of America Championship at Nashawtuc Country Club in Concord, June 20-26.

The MGA/MIAA High School Invitational kicked-off with an 11:30 a.m. shotgun start on Tuesday, June 21, at MGA Links at Mamantapett. The high schools of the three top teams split $5,000 in winnings, $2,500 first prize, $1,500 second prize and $1,000 third prize. Trophies were also awarded for first, second and third places, and the top three teams were invited to the Champions Tour Kids Clinic held at 4 p.m. on Friday, June 24,, 2005, at the Bank of America Championship, where they were recognized.

Junior members from MGA Links at Mamantapett were also invited to the Champions Tour Kids Clinic at Nashawtuc Country Club. The children were treated to a golf clinic with Champions Tour star Andy Bean. The Bank of America Championship also presented the staff of MGA Links with a check for $5,000 as a donation to The First Tee of Massachusetts program.
