Headline: The Golf Channel to Host Annual Drive, Chip & Putt Challenge on August 5th

The Golf Channel will be hosting its annual Drive, Chip & Putt Challenge on August 5, 2008 at Atlantic Country Club in Plymouth, Massachusetts.

As a community-strengthening initiative designed to develop social and athletic skills for area youths, while also providing a fun, safe, and enjoyable outlet to do so, the Mutual of Omaha Drive, Chip, and Putt competition is an awesome opportunity for all involved!

All participants receive a free t-shirt and a sleeve of golf balls, and will also have the opportunity to win an iPod Shuffle, Dick’s Sporting Goods giveaways, as well as skill-based awards and metals.

How and Where to Enter:
- All participants (boys and girls, ages 7-14) can sign up FREE at the golf course or before the day of the events.

- Participants can also pre-register at www.golfchannel.com/kids – quicker and easier!|
- Competitors will be divided into four age groups: 7-8, 9-10, 11-12 and 13-14.

Competition Specifics...
- Driving - Each competitor will hit two drives, each measured for distance and accuracy. Scores will consist of zone points of the drives that stay within set boundaries.
- Chipping - Each competitor will chip three balls onto a green pre-marked with concentric circles. Balls that land in the innermost circles will score the highest points, with bonus points awarded for any chip that goes in the cup.
- Putting Each competitor will putt two balls - one five feet from the hole, the other 15 feet. The objective will be to sink the putts in as few strokes as possible, with a maximum of four putts per ball.

Awards...
- Eighteen prizes will be awarded in each age group; one each to the top five “drivers, chippers and putters,” as well as first, second and third rankings for the best combined performance.
